My 12th Vlog...Those Talented Girls Of Mine!

I tell you, I've had such a time trying to get this vlog uploaded! I mean I was on the edge of pulling my hair out, strand by strand, then POOF...the upload was complete! Yay me! Now, the girls and I, actually, made it last week when the theme for Vlogemotion Carnival over at Fort Thompson was KIDS. So, since I missed participating last week, I thought I'd go ahead and show it this week. Please keep in mind that my girls LOVE to make videos and will do just about anything for a laugh. My 11th Vlog...Today, I'm Halfway to 90!

OK, I dare not utter my exact age on this momentous day, but I am, indeed, halfway to 90, so you do the math. The very thought of it is quite daunting, I must admit. I am sure to get lots of razing today about how I'm "older than dirt" or how I'll soon be able to draw Social Security benefits. Funny stuff, right? I really don't have any other alternative but to embrace my age for what it is. I look back over my life and rejoice in all the mountains I've climbed and the valleys I've forged through to get to where I am today. I've taken some risks with my heart and with my head, and have pushed myself to "rise above" in many ways. What a ride it's been and it's one I wouldn't change even if I could!

Now, since today is Vlogemotion Carnival over at Fort Thompson, I've decided to create a little montage. Tim has come up with a theme for this week and it's thankfulness. Oh, I have so much to be thankful for...I don't even know where to start! I've been incredibly blessed with such a wonderful life! I am surrounded by family and friends who love and nurture me. I have good health and can go outside and run or walk without any major difficulty. I have lots of incredible memories that warm my heart...and often bring a tear to my eye. I have faith that God will always be by my side. Of course, I am very thankful for each and every one of you! My list could go on and on! I can hardly wait to see what has yet to come in the years ahead! No, I'm not quite ready for orthopedic shoes, Fixadent, and polyester pants...I still have a lot of livin' to do!

My 10th Vlog...A Star Is Born!

Hey, everyone! Yes, it's that time, again! Time for Vlogemotion Carnival...Woo Hoo! It's hosted by my good pal, Tim, over at Fort Thompson.

Now, I know that many of you indicated that you'd like to see more of "Granny". Well, she will most likely be back sometime soon. Today, however, I thought I'd showcase one of our dearest family members, Madison (AKA Fatty Maddy). She's our 9 year old "robust" dachshund and she is quite the talent, as you will see. Now, just to reassure you, we do realize that dachshunds are prone to have back issues. So, what you'll see her doing is NOT something that happens often, at all. We are very careful to take extra care of her...I promise! She lives the "good life", in every sense of the word! Notice how Bella tries to steal Madison's limelight!

My 8th Vlog~Oh, My Aching...

Back, thighs, ankles...EVERYTHING hurts! The reason, you may be wondering? Well, I had this grand idea yesterday to go running at the park with Brittany. I know, I know, what in the world got into me? Temporary insanity, perhaps? I've been running for 8 1/2 years, so it's nothing new to me. However, running with my daughter, who is a beast, is a whole different ballgame. We got ready to start and before I could click my stopwatch, she blew out of there like a speed demon! No way in the world was I going to catch up with her...but, I tried...oh, how I tried! I ran the longest I have in awhile...just shy of 5 miles. Then, I walked another mile or so trying to find Brittany. I was a solid ball of sweat by the time all was said and done!

My poor ol' back starting setting up yesterday afternoon, so I knew it was going to be bad. However, when I attempted to crawl out of bed this morning, I soon realized just how bad it really was! Every bone and muscle in my body screamed out in pain! So, let me now introduce you to my newest best friend...ALEVE. Yes, though it's designed for arthritis sufferers, let me tell you that it helps tired, aching muscles and joints to feel so much better! I am a true believer!

Now, today I'm participating in Vlogemotions Carnival over at Fort Thompson and I talk about the strongest emotion I've had for this week. It's my shortest vlog yet!

My 7th Vlog...A Simple Summer Day

I realize that for the past couple of weeks, I've completely bailed on Vlogemotions Carnival hosted by Tim over at Fort Thompson. My excuses? Well, you see, we were on vacation one week and I think I simply lacked the motivation to participate in it when we got home. In other words, I was too LAZY! LOL! So, I assured Tim that I would participate this week. I know that some of you vloggers might say I took the easy road out, but it wasn't my intention...REALLY! As I began filming, I started rambling about my emotions and time got away from me. So, here's what I have to offer this time around.

My 5th Vlog...Those Silly Girls Of Mine!

Can you believe I'm posting my 5th vlog...who would have ever thought I'd last this long? PLEASE (pretty please!) consider participating in Vlogemotions Carnival over at Fort Thompson...it really is a hoot! Actually, I think my vlog for this week is a prime example.

I made the executive decision to mix things up a bit this time around and stay behind the camera for a change. Yes, I know how disappointed all of you are...LOL! I had my girls be my main subjects and this is about as raw as you can get! I'm sure you'll soon see that we did absolutely no preparing for this...we flew by the seat of our britches! The "props" were Abby's idea, by the way. When you see the camera bobbing up and down, that's when I was trying really hard to control my laughter...oh, it wasn't easy! Well, I finally bribed (I mean convinced!) the girls to help me create a vlog for VLOGEMOTIONS, hosted by Tim over at Fort Thompson. Since school got out for summer break yesterday, we decided to veer away from the serious side and just let loose! So, sit back and let us entertain you with our abilities that will astound and amaze! Take my word for it...you don't know how true that statement is! LOL! My 3rd Vlog...Priceless Gifts

I'm BAAACK! Yes, it's time, once more, for Vlogemotions Carnival hosted by my good pal, Tim, over at Fort Thompson. I'm finding that creating a vlog is getting easier from week to week. Rather than it taking a hundred or so takes, I'm now down to about 20...OK, maybe 35. Oh, who's counting anyway, right? Please give some serious thought to posting your own vlog! It really is a lot of fun and you'll learn a lot about yourself in the process...some good, some not so good! At least, that's been the case with me...I sound so country-fied, it's not even funny!

Now, before you watch my vlog, let me just inform you of two mistakes I made. Well, there's probably more, but they're the only ones I know about! I talked about something special that Brittany did for me and I said that her friend, Alicia, picked "them" out. I meant to say that Alicia helped Brittany picked "them" out! I'm pretty sure you'll understand what I'm talking about when you watch it. Then, I read a poem Abby wrote for me and I mentioned the wrong letter for the word being used. See if you pick up on it. I guess I must have gotten confused or something. Boy, that is so out of character for me...HA! Well, there was no way I was going to do it all over, again! I'm not sure why the lighting sort of fades in and out. Also, I didn't realize until after my vlog was played back that I talked really fast. I think I was determined to break my own 5 min. time limit, but I believe I went over by a second or two. For a Southerner to talk fast...now that's a real stretch!

Too Pooped To Peep!

My dad often used the expression ,"I'm too pooped to peep" when he felt really tired. Well, that certainly desribes me to a tee this morning. It was a LONG night! I was meaning to have my 2nd vlog posted this morning, but it will have to wait until later today. I recorded one last night, but it lasted for nearly 7 mins., which takes an eternity to download. Sorry, but I simply don't have the patience to wait it out. So, I'll have to retake it this morning...dead tired and all! Be sure to check back later on today for my vlog...I'll have dark circles and under eye bags to share! LOL!

Mission Accomplished...My Very First VLOG!

Hello, again...I came back, just as I said I would! I'm sharing with you my very first vlog...and possibly my last! No, I'm only kidding! Of course, I'll do this, again...why wouldn't I? I mean, I LOVE to get in front of the video camera for the whole world to see! Yeah, right! I must admit that it did cause me to step out of my comfort zone and do something I don't feel particularly comfortable doing. My biggest challenge was figuring out how to get the video uploaded, downloaded...whatever you call it! It took FOREVER! Maybe it's because I went over the recommended time limit of 3 mins. Hope I don't bore you half to death! Oh, well...better luck next time, I guess!

So, here it is in all it's glory! I absolutely refuse to watch the whole thing in it's entirety, so there's no telling what I end up saying! Just a warning...if I hear any "you might be a redneck" jokes because of this...things could get ugly real fast! LOL! Hope all of you have a fantastic weekend!

Pullin' My Hair Out!

Well, as you can see, I STILL don't have my vlog posted! Abby and I recorded separate videos and we tried to merge them, but no such luck! My dear hubby couldn't even figure out how to get it uploaded to Blogger. Guess I shouldn't complain...I couldn't figure it out, either! So, yesterday, I plopped down and recorded a video of just myself. As Chris was in the process of "figuring things out", he accidentally deleted it! It was a good video, too...for ME! I mean, I worked really hard at putting it together, even thought it took me about 45 takes! Long story short, I ended up canning the camcorder and decided to use Brittany's digital camera to make ANOTHER video. Abby showed me how to take out the SD card and download it to Blogger...it was still in the downloading process when I got up this morning! I cancelled that whole process! She'd, also, shown me another website that I could use and it did finish downloading this morning, BUT my video lasted for a whopping 8 mins. and 12 secs.! I had no idea I carried on for that long! RIDICULOUS! Get me talking and I might never hush up! :)

So, what I'm going to "attempt" to do is record a much smaller video later on today and try to upload it...or is it download? I am so confused! I'm bound and determined to participate in this challenge of posting a video of myself because it's something I DO NOT feel comfortable doing, AT ALL! So, be patient with me, faithful readers, hopefully by day's end, I'll share a video of myself talking about an emotion I've experienced this week. The way is stands right now, I'll be talking about FRUSTRATION...thanks to my computer illiteracy!

I Am NO Rocket Scientist!

My good buddy, Tim, over at Fort Thompson is having a Vlogemotion Carnival today and several Thurdays to follow. Now, here's the challenge he's presented us with. He's asked that you create a video about a particular emotion you've experienced during the week and post it on your blog. Well, I cringe at the very thought of being videotaped! However, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try. Long story short, it wasn't an easy thing to do! The problem is that I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to upload my video to my blog, nor can Chris. He even has a degree(minor) in computer science! Oh, this is bad...really, really bad! He's promised to help me with it later on today, so if we can get it figured out, you'll see me in in all my glory! I know, be still your beating hearts! LOL! In the meanwhile, hop on over to Tim's place...he's having an incredible giveaway involving a cool camcorder! Go put your name in the hat!

P.S. I "cranked" Abby's palatal expander for the first time last night...she burst into tears! She said it hurt so badly! I felt awful because there wasn't much I could do for her, other than give her some Motrin for the pain. She woke up this morning and it was even worse. Please pray that her discomfort eases up soon...it's hard on this softie of a mom!
