More Than Just a Walk in the Park

On Sunday afternoon, Brittany went to Six Flags with a group of her friends because it was closing for the season. So, that gave me some time to enjoy with Abby, just one-on-one. We decided to go for a walk at our favorite local park. I had no idea the colors were going to be as spectacular as they were! It really was breathtaking!! Abby and I just wandered along admiring all of the beauty surrounding us. Here is some of what we saw...

Aren't the trees amazing? Here's Abby striking a pose...She's attempting to feed bread to some fish she spotted in the water... God's magnificent handiwork...WOW!!! Abby on her scooter...Me and my girl...
Abby took this one! Isn't it beautiful?
We had such a great time together, just the two of us. I wouldn't trade moments like that for anything in the world!! :)

Scarecrow World Record!!

Yesterday, Chris and I had to run some errands and ended up going through a town not too far from where we live called Hoschton. This little town just set the world record for the largest number of scarecrows displayed in a specified town. The previous record was 3,311, but the residents of Hoschton shattered that record by erecting 5,441 scarecrows. That's pretty amazing, huh?

It's so neat to drive through the town and see nearly every street corner, yard, and open field covered with scarecrows of all different varieties. I just couldn't resist snapping a few photos of some that we saw. We will definitely have to take the girls back this weekend. Abby, especially, would love seeing all of them!
Hoschton is having a fall festival with food and crafts, so that should be lots of fun, with plenty of great weather!

Of course, Brittany asked the dreaded question..."Can Andrew come, too?" Abby and I rolled our eyes back in our heads AGAIN !! Why does she always feel the need to drag him along anytime we want to do something together as a family? Oh, HELP ME!! :)
