Now, for anyone who has ever dealt with a job loss, you know that it often limits the activities you can partake in, which might lead to "cabin fever". With the weather being as nice as it was today, and has been the past several days, we decided to leave the confines of our house and go for a nice stroll at the park. So glad we did, too! The breathtaking scenery was a real mood lifter!
Check out the magnificent lake view...
Birds serenaded us at every turn...
The bright colors seemed to explode...
Nothing much prettier than Georgia in the fall...unless, of course, you're talking about Arkansas! I can't help but be a little partial, you know!
By the time we got back home, we both felt like completely different people with renewed perspectives. Sometimes, that's all it takes...a little walk in nature and a little talk with God to make things right, once again.
"I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to reach my destination."~Jimmy Dean

P.S. Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your encouraging words on my last post. I didn't mean to come across as a "Debbie Downer", but I think the stress was getting to me. Whatever God has planned for our family, I will do my best to face it with grace. Thankfully, the Good Lord knows my heart and, if I should stumble, He will love me just the same. I'll try to visit as time allows! Miss y'all a bunch!

Praying for good news.
Your pictures are beautiful. I love a reflection shot!
What a gorgeous afternoon, April! Praying for you, dear friend! In the words of Dory (Nemo) "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming".:) Big hugs, dear friend. Lori
Wow, what lovely views. One of the bummers of joblessness is that you have free time but have to conserve money, and then when you have work you have money but no time. Keep walking! (And photographing!)
I was just talking the other day about wanting to go somewhere with Ben, and he suggested Arkansas!
I've been laid off for over a year...I understand his position!
People are definitely in survival mode up here and many schools and businesses were still closed yesterday due to downed trees, power lines, and no power. We have power but some of the neighborhoods in our town won't get theirs back until Friday! It was quite the storm.
Hang in there!
I think a walk in nature is the perfect place to talk with God :)
What a beautiful place to walk! I am keeping my fingers crossed for your husbands job offer!
Wow - your pictures are so pretty! Sure hope you hear news soon:)
What beautiful scenery! It is God's gift reminding us that change can be a beautiful thing.
What beautiful pictures! The colors are spectacular. And yes, quite a bit of the northeast, us included, received a TON of snow and a lot of people lost power. Hopefully you'll hear something soon!
Wow. Those pics are just simply gorgeous!
A little talking with God in nature is always a good thing.
Beautiful pictures! Definitely a mood booster!
