Reflections Of Christmas 2011, Pt. 2

The day aftter Christmas, we got in the car and drove over to South Carolina to spend 2 nights with my mother-in-law and brother-in-law.  They held off on their Christmas festivities until we arrived.

Here's my mother-in-law, Diane, opening her new Keurig coffee maker that my brother-in-law gave her.  Made me wish I was a coffee drinker!

Brittany's showing off a pair of sterling silver earrings she got.  You can never go wrong with jewelry!

No more need for regular water bottles!  This is a nifty Brita water bottle that has a built-in filter.  I use it all the time.

Who knows what the three of them were discussing!

Abby got some "smell good" stuff!

We went to my brother-in-law's house up the street to open a few more gifts.  Brittany's wearing a gold necklace my mother-in-law and brother-in-law got for her on their recent Alaskan cruise.

Abby got so tickled because when she opened up a necklace she got from their Alaska trip, she said, "Wow, this is just like the one I got when we went to Alaska!"  Problem is...we've never been to Alaska...she meant to say 'Arizona'.  She giggled for about 10 solid minutes...silly girl!

I cannot believe that I convinced Chris to play a round of "Just Dance" with me!  Oh, if only his Ranger buddies could have seen that!  Needless to say, I whipped up on him pretty badly...hee, hee!

The next day, Abby had to go to the house down the road to visit her two buddies.  As you can see, they were so happy to see her!

Now, you might be asking yourself why in the world am I posting a picture of Tony's Creole Seasoning?  Any guesses?  Well, do you remember Brittany's former boyfriend, Connor, by any chance?  They're back together, again...and I still have yet to swallow that pill!  OK, well, a few days before Christmas, he told her that he had sent a present to her in the mail.  It arrived soon, thereafter, and she tore into the box to find a pair of compression pants AND a big ol' container or Tony's!  I couldn't help but burst into laughter...no matter how hard I tried to contain myself!  I still can't believe it's what he sent to my daughter for Christmas!  I'm completey dumbfounded!  I do know that Connor loves the seasoning, so I guess he figured that Brittany would, too.  Bless her heart...she was so let down.  If this is any sign of what's to come, we're in BIG TROUBLE!

Have a HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

Part 2 was just as fun as Part 1!! I love extended holidays, even if they can be tiring. It looks like all of you had so much fun. Great gifts, plenty of laughter...it doesn't get any better than that.

I had to laugh about the Creole Seasoning. Is Connor trying to make a chef out of Brittany?? What a strange bird!

Hope this year holds all the best for you, April!

XO,
Jane

What a fun post! Sounds like a lot of fun. This is the first time I have ever heard of Creole Seasoning being a swell gift. Very unusual!!!

I got a BRITA too! I am enjoying it. Ashley had one first and I thought it was a great idea. Are you liking yours?

The Creole seasoning gift is so cute! I have been wanting a Brita bottle--does it filter pretty quickly? Thanks for sharing the fun posts about your Christmas.

Seasoning salt as a Christmas gift is right up there with getting a frying pan! I love the pic of your daughter giggling because she said she'd been to Alaska...Alaska...Arizona...close enough!

I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I would like a Keurig in the house. Looks like you had fun and got some great gifts. Just Dance is fun! I would love to know what Connor was thinking.

Ok, that is the worst gift EVER! And what are compression pants? Poor sweet girl. She needs to ditch him.

It looks like you guys had a great Christmas. Is hubby working yet?

Chris's family looks so nice : )
The seasoning is kind of funny.
Boys are just so crazy...don't you remember that from when you were her age? I remember the the immaturity of the men in my college was something else!

Love the pic of you and Chris dancing! Wish we had video. I've got to get that game!

That picture of Abby with the dogs is PRECIOUS! So sweet!

Seasoning and compression pants? Poor Brittany! Boys are so goofy. Maybe it was an inside joke?

Sorry Britt, but this Momma is laughing too!!! Some guys are just clueless...including my husband! I now buy my own prezzies, wrap them, and then HE is surprised, lol! Works for us!

Just Dance is so much fun and is really good exercise too!

Looks like you had a great Christmas, full of family and fun!!!
