Centerfold Material

Guess the title of my post grabbed your attention, huh? I've written about our Shih Tzu, Bella, numerous times before.  She is such a sweetheart and adds so much love and fun to our family.  Well, she does something every time we sit down at the dinner table that I just have to share. I'm serious, she never misses a beat!  Shortly after we say our blessing and take our first bites of dinner, Bella grabs her favorite ball, flips over on her back, and proudly exposes her belly for everyone to see. It's as if she's saying, "Oh, yoohoo...look at me!" I'm convinced that the most well-known person in the world could be visiting and Bella wouldn't be phased in the slightest...she'd still "strike a pose"!

She holds this exact position until one of us gets up from our chair, grabs the ball, and throws it for her to chase after. Talk about milking the attention!  This girl has it all figured out!

"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace."~ Milan Kundera

She has you trained very well! Cutie! And yes, I was wondering what I would find here... I thought maybe you had done one of those "boudoir shoots" and was going to give us a sneak preview! ;<)

Hi April, thanks for stopping by on my SITS day and I'm certainly keeping the faith with TTC its what gets me through. Love your Bella! She is a smart one isn't she....who can resist a cute face and a belly exposed for rubs. I'd throw the ball ten times if I had to.

So adorable. My brother and sister-in-law used to have a Shih Tzu and we had a Lhasa Apso. Sure did love both of those dogs.

So sweet! I love dogs, and puppies too. I had a horrible day Sunday and was just in a horrible mood but simply holding one of those puppies suddenly made everything better again. I think dogs are a gift from God.

Hi - do you remember how to make it so people can't take your pictures? When I redid my blog something change. I think you posted about this once.

Loved this post, April! Sorry I've been absent...too much to do...too little time to read blog posts. Your letter to your mom made me hurt for you, and the post about Chris's hoped-for-job made me empathize. You're riding a roller coaster of emotions. I hope that this holiday season will bring you peace and joy as you prepare to gather with your girls and have some much-needed family time.
