It was bitter cold here this weekend...almost too cold to step outside! So, we 'Skyped' with Brittany and watched "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2". We'd seen it at the theater when it first came out, but wanted to see it, again. I really hate that the whole series has come to an end and find it hard to believe that it's been 10 years since the first Harry Potter movie came out. Are you a fan of them?
I know that many people believe that the movies promote witchcraft and wizardry, but I don't view it that way. I think they're just movies that encourage vivid imagination. I've never made it out to be anything more. I am a Christian and I know where my heart is and I've never felt that my watching the Harry Potter movies crosses the line in any way. What is your take on it?
Now, I'm so excited that the next movie Netflix will send us is this one...
I have been patiently waiting for it to be released on DVD and can hardly wait to see it! I know it's received rave reviews and I'm certain I'll need to have a box of Kleenex nearby.
Chris is expecting to hear back from several companies this week that he had 2nd interviews with recently. We have to keep believing that the tides are about to change. Please keep those prayers coming...I appreciate it so very much!
Well, I'm off to finish cleaning the house and I'm sure I'll probably make a little time to poke around on Pinterest...like I do every single day! Happy Monday, everyone!

good luck to your husband!!!
have a good week, April.
Congratulations on winning the book. It sounds wonderful. I haven't followed Harry Potter like I should have. Have only seen a few of them. I do want to see Courageous. Praying for some good news for Chris. Pinterest is my slice of happy each day!
I love good devotional books... I'm in one for the year that is my favorite. Its like letters from God everyday... so nice.
I LOVE Harry Potter. I think that people can always find anything good and/or bad in anything & if people want to try & make a big deal over nothing, they will.. its just a waste of time & energy. I'd rather find the good in things :) Which there is a LOT of in HP ... now I want to watch the last one again! :)
Still praying for that right job to find Chris! :)
Loved Courageous and yes you will need your tissues!!
Praying a job will come through. Congrats on your win that devotional looks wonderul
Yay you won! Awesome!
As far as Harry Potter goes, my dad would have FREAKED if I'd watched that because of the wizard/witch thing, but it doesn't really bother me. I, personally, don't like fantasy type movies, but my daughter LOVES them and has lots of Harry Potter stuff.
I've heard Courageous is fantastic! Did you see The Fifth Quarter and Grace Card? I think they're all made by the same production company. You will need Kleenex for those too.
Let us know when Chris hears something. Praying for y'all!
Congrats on winning! Always nice to have something new to read! And don't you love Skyping with your girl??? I love doing it with our girl who is down in Florida at school. Miss her so much. She is coming home in 2 weeks and I can't wait. Glad you enjoyed the movie. I know hubby and the kids watched it, but I never can get into movies like that! Enjoy your day!
Congratulations on winning the book! Linda had an extra copy, and she sent it to me, so we'll be reading the same devotions! I think that is tres cool, my friend!!!
Keeping my fingers crossed! Happy V-day!
Congrats on the win! Looks like a great book.
