LOVE Wednesday Hodgepodge!

With today being "Hump Day", it's time for Wednesday Hodgepodge.  Head on over to Joyce's blog and link up if you like to participate. Play along...it's always such fun!

Alright, I say let's get started, so here we go!

1.  What  is something you are loving right now?  The first thing that pops into mind is the warm weather we've been having here in Georgia. Over the weekend, the temps. got up to the mid-70's and it felt like springtime! Of course, the temps. are supposed to drop back down, again...BOO HOO! Now, the second thing that comes to mind is "The Bachelor". What is the deal with that Courtney chick?  Does she not have any class?  What does Ben see in her...besides the obvious?  I can't stop watching it because of all the drama!

2.  Paris, Venice, New York and Rome are considered 4 of the most romantic cities in the world.  Which one would you most like to visit?  Now, this is a tough question because I'd love to visit them all.  However, if I had to choose right now, I think I'd pick New York. I am a huge fan of Broadway musicals.  I've seen Cats (twice), Lion King, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, just to name a few.  I have always wanted to see a Broadway musical performed ON Broadway.  The next one on my 'must see' list is this...

3.  Are you a romantic?  I would definitely say YES!  When we lived in Alabama, I hired a local barbershop quartet to come to our home and serenade Chris on Valentine's Day. They sang, "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" and "You Are My Sunshine".  He was blown away and don't you dare tell a soul...he got teary eyed!  Shh...it's our little secret!

4.  What's your favorite love story made for the Big Screen?  Hand's down..."An Officer and A Gentleman"!  It was made when Richard Gere was in his prime...and he was looking FINE!  I think every girl wanted to be Debra Winger.

5.  Everyone loves Pooh Bear and friends...which character are you most like and why?  I would have to say that I'm most like Roo.  Here is a description of Roo's personality..."Roo is known for getting in trouble, but he always learns his lesson.  He takes great joy in discovering the small wonders in life. He is curious, fun and loving, and he looks at the world in a fun and sympathetic way.  He often expresses thoughts and feelings that make him seem wiser than his years."   Can't you see the resemblance?

6.  What's the best chocolate something you've ever eaten?  Ok, let me be very clear here...I love chocolate any way it comes!  Now, when we went on our last cruise this past summer, I had a big slab of a chocolate cake after dinner that was like heaven on earth!  Have MERCY!

7.  Share a favorite quote about love"We can not do great things, only small things with great love."~Mother Teresa

8.  Insert your own random thought here.  One of my dearest friends from Alabama is going to call me this morning so we can catch up. We talk on the phone every couple of months for about 2 hours at a time. She has always been there for me and I love  her to death! Also, Chris has a couple more promising interviews this week...praying that one of them comes through for him...for us.  Tomorrow will be the 9-month mark since he lost his job and we're ready for some positive changes!  You gotta have FAITH, right?

Praying the interviews go well and that one will be the perfect job for him! I would have to say yes, visit NY because I was born and raised there and still consider Queens my home even though we've been out of NY for 20 years now :( Enjoy your day and I would love a piece of that cake!!!

I love your quote from Mother Teresa! And oh, I loved an Officer and a Gentleman too, I think I'll have to rewatch on Netflix for Valentine's Day!

Hoping that your hubby get the job. Mother Teresa's quote is so inspiring because it shows you don't have to be somebody special to make a difference, just a regular person doing something. Have a good day.

I'm the same way about The Bachelor. Can't stop watching the drama and while think Courtney needs to go, I know it won't be as much fun to watch when she does!

I LOVE An Officer And A Gentleman...
"Way to go, Paula!"

What fun answers. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi! It's nice to meet someone else who says Arkansas will always be home. I moved there in 79 and moved to MO in 2006 after I remarried. My daughter and grands are in AR. Love it down there. I will have to stop back by when I have more time to look around.
until next time... nel
