Now, being that I was born and raised in the South, I can appreciate that they're made from Mason jars. My granny used them for all of her canning needs when I was growing up and I've sipped a lot of sweet iced tea from them. When I had the chance, I pulled aside the couple who brought them and asked where they got them. They told me they know a woman who makes and sells them. She simply takes a Mason jar and uses some sort of strong epoxy to glue it onto a candlestick. He said she finds her supplies either at Wal-Mart or the Dollar General Store. To give the glasses extra pizazz, she fills the candlesticks with small colored beads and ties coordinating ribbons around the lips of the jars. She even ties a strand of beads around the stems of them with wire. He said the total cost for each glass is about $4 and they're sold for $12.
Chris and I liked them so much that we ordered a pair of them for my mother-in-law. Since she's a big Univ. of South Carolina fan, we had the lady use the team colors of burgundy and black for her glasses. I wouldn't mind trying my hand at making a few of them to see how they turn out...though I'm the craftiest person in town. There are just so many different things you could do with them. They'd be cute for weddings, milestone birthdays, etc.
Jeff Foxworthy would have such a time, don't you think? "You might be a redneck if you drink from a Mason jar that's been glued onto a candlestick." 'Nuff said!

We keep mason jars in the freezer for Ben so he can drink cold milk.
Very cute!! And yes, the title DID grab my attention, lol!
HAHA - those are AWESOME!!!! What a fun idea to make!!! I love creative people :)
Doesn't drinking sweet tea from a Mason jar make it taste better? She's making a pretty good profit!
They are a breeze to make and they also make cute candlesticks too. Your title was very catching.
Now that is a clever idea. I love mason jars, my mom used to can everything. Even when she was in her 70's she "put up" tomatoes, and fruit. So there were plenty of jars around.
I have seen these in a local boutique I had no idea that is how they were made thanks for sharing I am going to make some for sure!
very cute indeed! you should totally try making them!
I saw these in a store in Michigan and had a nice laugh!! Very cute!

Jeff Foxworthy needs to grab this quote. The glasses made me smile!
I got one of these for Christmas! I drink water/tea from a mason jar nearly everyday, which drives my husband crazy (he is a city boy...) So funny!
These are pretty darn cute!
These redneck wine glasses are so cute! I've been thinking about making some of these. About a month ago my hubby purchase some preserves (can't remember the brand) that look like a mason jar with a beer glass type handle. I thought gluing a stem base to them would be cute too!
Interesting use of mason jars. It never fails to amaze me at the creativity that some people have.
I am from south Georgia. We used mason jars for all our drinking needs!
Yes, I love them!
I have to admit it, April~ I think they're cute!
