Hard To Resist

I thought I'd tell you about a couple of my newest indulgences.  When I was at Sam's a few weeks ago, I came across this bag of sweet peppers (orange, red, and yellow).  They looked so good, so I bought a bag and I've been hooked ever since! I simply slice one or two of them up and have them with my lunch or as a snack.  They truly are the SWEETEST tasting peppers I've ever had!  I can't get enough of their yummy goodness! Plus, they're packed with anti-oxidents and nutrients, so that's an added bonus.

Now, for anybody who knows me, they'll tell you that I have a big sweet tooth...really BIG!  Chocolate is my weakness...there, I said it!  Well, at Costco, they sell the best ready-to-make brownies EVER!  I've tried every brand known to man, but I keep coming back to these.  Talk about rich, creamy, and loaded with chocolate morsels!  HAVE MERCY!  I, literally, think I could eat the entire pan of them...and have come very close to doing so on several occasions!

Now, I have this theory that I'll gladly share. If you eat something healthy followed by something not-so-healthy, the good cancels out the bad.  So, for instance, when I eat the peppers prior to eating a brownie, all of the fat grams and calories are cancelled out by the nutrients in the peppers. Makes perfect sense, wouldn't you say?  Well, it was worth the effort, right?  Hey, the way I look at it is that life is far too short to not allow yourself some indulgences along the way!  So, I say...DIG IN

I love the sweet peppers. We shop at Costco but I buy them too and I also have the brownie mix but haven't made them yet! I recently found a recipe that you add carmel in the middle of the brownie so I am going to try that!

I've seen the sweet peppers here in NZ but not the brownie mix. Both look great. Will have to try the sweet peppers! Thanks for stopping by!

I love peppers too! Isn't it fun when you accidentally find something like that? We love sugar snap peas to snack on. They are so crunchy, nutty and sweet. Mmmm.
