Be THANKFUL!

Hello, my friends!  Well, Brittany made it home from college safe and sound on Sunday evening.  It feels so good to have her home, again, and for our family to be together.  I always sleep so soundly when I know my girls are here under one roof.  To me, there's no better feeling in the world! So, that is definitely something I have to be very thankful for.  

As many of you know, we are fast approaching the 7-month mark since Chris joined the ranks of the unemployed.  I never imagined it would carry on this long.  However, it is what it is and we are still reminded daily of all the blessings we have in our life.  We have a home, heat, air conditioning, water, food, clothes, a vehicle, good health, the love of family and friends...the list could go on and on.  Through everything we've faced these past 6 1/2 months, we've come to realize all the more the difference between the things that matter in life and the things that don't.  Our faith in God has definitely deepened as we've come to rely on Him even more for guidance, direction, and STRENGTH. He is our ROCK!  

So, as you prepare to enjoy Thanksgiving with your family, take some time to really think about all the ways that you have been blessed. I'm sure you'll see that regardless of life's ups and downs, there is always reason to CELEBRATE! 

I would like to thank each of you from the bottom of my heart for becoming such dear and treasured friends to me. We'll be heading out to South Carolina in the morning.  If you're traveling, please drive safely on the roads! Wishing you and yours a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
